Tis the season for gifting and giving! Since my love language is gifts, this season is HARD for my budget… I just want to buy all the things for all the people I love, and it adds up! This year, I wanted to try to incorporate more handmade (but not lame) gifts in my giving, and decided to put my new essential oils to good use!

If you’re curious about oils or need to grab your starter kit to get going, you can learn more here or just head on over to YoungLiving and add one to your cart! Shoot me a message or a comment below if you have any questions. :) (I might even give you a sweet little deal…)

Mermaid Hair Spray

To make:

Mix 20 drops of lavender* (helps promote hair growth, helps it grow quicker, good for your scalp), 20 drops of rosemary (great for your scalp, increases circulation, stimulates your roots, soothes itchy or dry scalps) and 20 drops of cedarwood (promotes circulation, promotes hair growth, slows down hair loss), fill your spray bottle 1/3 full with lavender witch hazel, and fill the rest up with water. Add a label like this one as the perfect finishing touch!

To use:

Spray it on damp hair post-shower and massage it all over, or spritz it on dry hair to revive it! It smells AMAZING and makes hair feel softer and look shinier… such a win.

Sugar Scrub

To make:

Mix 1/4 cup of coconut oil (melted) and 1/2 cup of white sugar whipped, then add 1/2 cup of Himalayan salt (for a light pink tint), and around 10 drops of oil total (start with just a few drops of each and see how strong you want it!). I did a few combos— lavender + peppermint, peppermint + stress away (smells like candy canes!), and tangerine + cinnamon bark. Add to mini mason jars, and add these adorable labels!

To use:

Exfoliate with the scrub as needed, rinse with warm water when done!

Face Serum

To make:

Add 15 drops frankincense and 15 drops copaiba to a 2 ounce bottle with a dropper (like these), top with jojoba oil, shake well! Add this label to your bottle as the last touch.

To use:

Apply in the morning and/or evening as a moisturizer!

Apple Butter

To make:

15 oz can of pumpkin
1 3/4 cup applesauce
2/3 cup agave
1 inch grated ginger
1 tsp pure vanilla
1 drop Cinnamon Bark Vitality
2 drops Clove Vitality
2 drops Nutmeg Vitality

Simmer pumpkin, applesauce, agave, and ginger in a pot for 45 minutes. Then add in vanilla and essential oils. Jar up and enjoy!

Sweet Dreams Spray

To make:

Add 15 drops lavender, 10 drops frankincense, 5 drops cedarwood, and 5 drops stress away to a 4 ounce spray bottle (like these), add a splash of witch hazel (I like the lavender one for this!), and fill the rest with water. Stick on this cute moon and stars label for the finishing touch.

To use:

Simply shake to mix it all up and mist on your pillow, blankets, and bedding before getting into bed!

Foaming Hand Soap

To make:

Use a foaming hand soap dispenser (I used pint sized mason jars with these tops), 1 and 1/3 cup water, 2/3 cup castile soap (I had this one on hand, but any scent would work depending on what you want it to smell like!), and up to about 30 drops of oils of your choosing! To do a holiday blend, try 10 drops thieves, 5 drops cinnamon, 5 drops orange, and 5 drops cedarwood. (A combo of minty oils like 5 peppermint, 5 spearmint, 5 wintergreen, and 10-15 stress away would also be heavenly!) I’d add the labels that come with those dispenser tops too.

To use:

Mix it all up, and voila! Pump a few times to disperse, and enjoy as you do normal hand soap!
