My Christmas Wishlist
When your love language is gift-giving (anyone else?!), you LOVE holidays like Christmas. It’s the biggest, best love fest! It makes me the happiest. But, I really do NOT love surprises. Occasionally, okay, but most of the time, I’d rather be able to plan and prepare. That’s even true for gifts! The older I get, the more I want to just ask for the specific things I’m really wanting and needing right now, so nobody’s wasting money on things that I won’t actually use or enjoy. It’s better for everyone, right?!
This year, I thought I’d share my wishlist here — maybe you’re wishing for one of these things too, maybe you’re scouring Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals too, or maybe you just don’t have any ideas and this will help inspire you!
Happy gift giving (and receiving!) this holiday season, friends!

Hint, hint, family…
Here are the things I’m wishing for this Christmas:
I know I don’t reaaaaalllyyyyy need any new books… but…
Here are the books I’m most wishing for:
What’s on your wishlist?!
in a world verrrrry fueled by capitalism, i want to share a bunch of ideas that will make your money matter more this season, supporting small businesses (almost entirely), with most being Black, people of color, lgbtqia+, or women-owned.
tis the season for twinkly lights and cozy blankets, cheesy movies and mistletoe (but only in the movies? i’ve seriously never seen the stuff in real life…), and, OF COURSE, holiday reads!
this year, i thought it would be fun to round up things that have caught my eye in recent weeks, especially as i’ve been curating gift guides!
for the friends who are always up to some new artistic endeavor, taking trips to the craft store for supplies for their newest pinterest-inspired hobby, here are fun ideas to keep their creative juices flowing!
for the ones who would rather stay snuggled up at home with blankets and books and big mugs of hot drinks!
if you’re looking for a book or a guide for the season of advent (it starts december 3, 2022) as we look toward christmas and the coming of our savior, i’ve rounded up some suggestions (both that i’ve read and ones that i haven’t but that look great) in hopes that they’re helpful.
from totes to pencils to swag and more, here are 25 great ideas for the book lovers in your life!
i’ve rounded up 50 ideas for stocking stuffers that the adults in your life are sure to love, and they’re all less than $15. mix in some fun treats and sweets, and you’ll be set.
I love the rhythms of the church calendar and the way my soul seems to need Advent right when it arrives, every single year. It’s a season preparing for the arrival of Jesus as a baby in our world, and a season full of waiting, longing, preparing, watching, and moving toward hope.
i firmly believe books are the very best gifts, even if nobody ever gets them for me because they think i have too many! not true!!! anyway. i’ve turned to gifting books to my people in hopes that it inspires them to return the favor… and also because as previously stated, i believe books are the best gifts.
