Enter: other bookish gifts! Avoid the struggle of trying to find the perfect read, and gift a great accompaniment to their reading life instead.
Read MoreThis is by no means a comprehensive list of all the books I loved in my childhood (ya girl MAXED OUT that library card often!), but are some of my favorites that I have held onto all these years later.
Read MoreI took my big solo road trip this month, so I did NOT expect to finish this many books, but a few audiobooks on the road helped! I had more one-star reads than ever this month, which was not super fun… here’s to better books to finish this year strong!
Read MoreWe are thick into spooky season, especially with Halloween right around the corner, and I rounded up 15 of the best mysteries and thrillers I’ve read. All of these were four or five star favorites for me, meaning I either really liked them, or totally loved them. (The five star reads are the first five listed!)
Read MoreFor almost two years now, I have faithfully observed the Sabbath without fail every single Friday evening to Saturday evening (since I work on Sundays being in ministry). It has completely changed my life, my faith, and my heart, too.
Read MoreThe first half of this month was full of a lot of books (although not many winners…) and then I basically stopped reading entirely? Thanks, depression…
Read MoreI had to get away from it all to let the dust settle and the fog clear, but I’m seeing it better now: there’s a reason why I have these channels, and there’s a way to use them that matters.
Read MorePhew, it was a SOLID month of reading! It helps that I traveled and had time to read on flights (PRAISE), and that I had some housesitting time that involved days spent by the pool, and that I did I spent the last weekend of the month doing a readathon that resulted in 4 books being read over 2 days!
Read MoreRounding up 10 of my favorite things from July — all travel favorites since I FINALLY got to travel again after so long!
Read MoreIt’s officially (a little more than) halfway through 2021, and I have read 95 books so far, with 22 of them rating 5-stars! I rounded up my halfway top 12 books (I know the trend is to pick 10, but that was too hard!) — all were 5-star favorites, all are books I highly recommend, and hopefully they reflect diverse reading options and authors, too!
Read MoreRounding up 10 of my favorite things from June — from makeup to migraine savers to pens and a new robot vacuum and more!
Read MoreI continue to hardly read during the weeks and then read ALL THE THINGS on the weekends (thank you, Sabbath!) and my Goodreads challenge continues to stress me out with its reminders of how behind schedule I am… but whatever! Here’s to reading for FUN when we want to and not getting stressed about it!
Read MoreI’m always surprised that I read at ALL during birthday month, when there are so many festivities to be had! But this month stepped things up as I tried to catch up on the Goodreads goal that was seriously slacking… but overall, not a ton of great reads this month.
Read MoreSummer just screams “TIME TO READ!” to me… anybody else? I don’t just crave breezy beach reads in the summer either— I want a variety of things just like during the rest of the year, so that’s what you’ll find here, too! I’ve rounded up 15 favorites (a mix of old and new, fiction and nonfiction, from diverse authors) plus 5 new releases that are coming this summer.
Read MoreI thought it would be fun to get back into a more regular rhythm of blogging by sharing “five faves” posts periodically, with different topics and themes. today’s edition: subscriptions!
Read MoreI’m slowing down on my reading progress and it’s starting to bum me out… but then I remember I still read 13 books this month and several of them were real favorites... so I want to celebrate that! Slow and steady is the name of the game right now, and I’m giving myself grace that it’s okay to not be flying through books all the time.
