Five Finds // Tuesday

It’s been a bit since I’ve shared some fun finds, but I’ve gathered up a few things I want to share with you this week!

A woman to know:

Meet Opal Lee, the 93-Year-Old Who’s Making Sure Juneteenth Finally Gets Its Due. Loved this: “What I’m seeing in the protests right now is that it’s not just black people or white people, it’s all kinds of people coming together. And this is what I dream for Juneteenth—that all kinds of people will come together, that we will celebrate freedom from the 19th of June to the 4th of July. If we put our collective stuff together, we can make this the greatest country on Earth.”

Black-owned businesses to support:

An article to read:

Found this article + the data fascinating: Libraries Are Dealing With New Demand For Books And Services During The Pandemic

Books to read for Pride:

Pride month might officially be over, but that doesn’t mean we should stop learning from + listening to stories from those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Love this list from my friend Anne with great book recs!

A beautiful house tour:

As I prep to move to a new place (where I’ll be back to living solo!), I’m thinking a lot about my decorating style and the kind of home and vibe I want to create. I took quiiiiite a few online quizzes but this house tour gave me the perfect words for what I’m going for: scandi vibes with boho touches. YES PLEASE.
