CELEBRATING // turning 24 yesterday was SO MUCH FUN. I just adore birthdays (all birthdays!) and it has everything to do with the fact that my love languages are gifts and words of affirmation. I was feeling so loved all day by so many people, and my heart (and stomach) are so full from all the goodness. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me!
READING // I'm still stuck in the middle of Jane Eyre, because I never seem to want to pick it up again. I'm also in the middle of Cooked by Michael Pollan, because I'm reading the chapters after I watch the corresponding mini-documentary on Netflix, and Gilmore Girls has been stealing my attention on that front! Also, I just started Trains and Lovers by Alexander McCall Smith last night (holla for $5 impulse buys at Barnes and Noble!) and Wild and Free by Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan (holla for all the many, many books that get sent to our editorial team FO FREE).
PONDERING // how life will look different this year; how community plays a vital role in our lives and faith and how I can engage better; my word of the year and how I can better press into it as we near the half-way mark of 2016.
SIPPING // currently? coffee with vanilla almond milk creamer. wishing for? margaritas. A sweet Arizona friend sent me this awesome prickly pear cactus syrup and I can't wait to make margs with it for Cinco de Mayo tomorrow!
GOING // to yoga in the park tonight (maybe, hopefully, it's been raining and thunderstorming for days and days now, so soggy grass might mean no yoga) and to Friday Cheers on Friday (because when there are $5 concerts out on Brown's Island by the James River with beer/cider trucks, you go!) but also, again, the weather. Who knows. Richmond has so many awesome festivals and events this time of year, and I'm trying to make the most of them all!
Tell me, what you are YOU up to currently!?
